Dumeril's boa biology

Dumeril's boas are one of the species of ground boas from Madagascar. They live in the western coast and southwestern regions of Madagascar.
Dumerils occupy semi-arid habitats, which have fairly low amount of rainfall.
Dumeril boas are nocturnal. They are carnivores and will kill they prey by constriction - they are one of the constrictior
snake species. They will eat small mammals, birds and lizards.
In captivity, juvenile Dumeril boas will eat mice, and the adults will take rats and rabbits.
